Sleazy Psaki Claims GOP Is Recruiting Muslims To Combat Trans Push

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki has made a controversial accusation, suggesting that Republicans are recruiting Muslim Americans to oppose transgender people in order to gain political capital. Psaki even goes as far as to compare President Donald Trump to former Alabama governor and segregationist George Wallace, drawing parallels between their respective advocated policies.

However, it is important to note that the case Psaki makes is completely unfounded and paints Muslim Americans in a biased light. This assertion only serves to divide an already fragile society and unnecessarily places Muslims and transgender people at odds with one another.

It is entirely possible, and highly likely, that Muslim Americans vehemently oppose books with sexually explicit material in school libraries; this does not necessarily have anything to do with transgender people or issues. Furthermore, one cannot simply compare the alleged religious undertones of the protesters to a vocal former segregationist; their objectives are too far apart to make any reasonable comparison.

Not only does Psaki’s accusation lack any substantial evidence, but her claims simply echo the same divisionary rhetoric that the Republican party has been accused of in the past. This proves that her accusations are without merit, and nothing more than an attempt to polarize people. Similarly, her comparison to George Wallace speaks to the same effect, with Psaki seemingly trying to initiate a “cultural war” of sorts.

Rather than promote division in an already fragile American society, Psaki should be looking to foster inclusivity. Framing the issue in such a way pits Muslim Americans, an already minority group in the United States, against transgender people. Her accusation has the potential to tear apart a community, which speaks to the baselessness of her claims.

Watch

The notion that Republicans are intentionally trying to recruit Muslim Americans to oppose transgender people is completely false. This baseless accusation is nothing more than an attempt to divide Americans in order to bolster the Democratic party’s political position. Such baseless claims have no place in politics, and Psaki should retract her own divisive remarks in order to foster a more unified society.
