PolitiFact tried to spin the video of President Biden getting up and awkwardly walking off the set of MSNBC’s Deadline: White House, last month into something that was actually normal. They turned to writer Sara Swann to use her fact-checking skills to discredit claims that Biden left mid-interview and used a Twitter post from this author to back up their claim.
The liberal media and PolitiFact were quick to try and hide the fact that Biden made an odd exit. It seemed clear that even though the interview was technically over, the protocol of the moment was not followed as the president had to walk behind host Nicolle Wallace to make his exit.
The concern PolitiFact had was not that Biden made a strange exit as they had not fact-checked the President’s claim that he had “ended cancer” but rather to discredit the claims made by social media users in a June 30 tweet noting Biden left during the live interview and accusations on TikTok speculating why he left. They even went so far as to suggest that the social media posts were wrong in their claim despite it being only what was seen and visible to the public.
In an attempt to backup their point, Swann wrote out in detail the back and forth between Wallace and Biden during their concluding conversation and linked to the video of the incident Tweeted by this author. What Swann failed to mention was that everything that seemed to happen before Wallace went to a commercial break was all within a few short seconds leading up to Biden’s awkward departure.
Any viewer of cable news knows how these kinds of interviews usually go. After saying goodbye to the guest, the host will either cut away for a commercial break or move the camera position to follow the person leaving the set. In this case, Wallace did go for a commercial break, but Biden had already made his out of protocol exit before that happened. The video of the incident fueled speculation and jokes about the curious exit, but PolitiFact was dead set on quelling the social media fire to protect Biden’s reputation.

It is clear that Biden made an abnormal and awkward exit from the set of Deadline: White House last month and that PolitiFact provided biased coverage in an effort to cover it up. Will the liberal media ever admit their bias or will they continue to ignore the issue?
