Vice President Kamala Harris is receiving much criticism for her new messaging “shift” as of late. Her former communications director Jamal Simmons argued that the criticism against Harris is a “bank shot” to attack President Joe Biden. CNN host Poppy Harlow cited a piece from The New York Times which labeled Harris a “one woman rapid response operation” as Harris has recently begun speaking out on abortion legalization and Florida’s education curriculum on African American history.
Unfortunately for Harris, it appears her efforts have not improved her favorability rating among the public. According to FiveThirtyEight, Harris holds a 52% disapproval rating while only 39% approve of her. In fact, in June Harris reached the lowest vice presidential favorability rating in the NBC News poll history with a net-negative rating of -17.
Critics of Harris have begun to ask what she has done since becoming Vice President. There is no denying that Harris is an experienced politician, a career that has spanned over two decades.
In her time in office, Harris has failed to address any tangible policies or fights that she has championed for since her appointment. Rather, she has resorted to simply campaigning for President Biden, a role that should go to any Vice President.
In fact, Harris has done little or nothing with her time in the White House and the people aren’t as stupid as Democrats thing they are. You can see it in her failing popularity numbers. She’s a political dud. I will admit, that it’s somewhat entertaining to watch the media struggle and fail to find some redeeming qualities about her.
No matter how they try to ‘fix’ Kamala, she’s a dead end for Democrats. I’m sure in 2020, Harris brought in more than a few liberal voters but that crap ain’t going to fly this next go around. The people have Harris’s number and they’re sick of her dead weight.
