Holy Crap! Hypocrisy Was So THICK In Clinton’s Interview She Could’ve Choked On It

Call it irony, call it hypocrisy, whatever it is the left was laying it on so thick that I’m surprised that none of them choked. Some clown at MSNBC thought “You know who we should ask about restoring the people’s faith in the voting system? Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.” The biggest freaking election denier in history.

Clinton has long been one of the most outspoken opponents of President Donald Trump. However, when she spoke with Rachel Maddow on MSNBC Monday night, her words soon shifted to attacking America’s electoral system.

Clinton argued that Americans have been deliberately divided by Trump, who has continually denied the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election, undermining our faith in the democratic process.

Clinton went on to blame the divisiveness on the weaponization of loneliness and the rise of technology and social media, as well as the rise of trends of isolation and civic disengagement.

She went on to say that Trump’s “lie to Americans about what was going on in front of their own eyes” effectively undermined the democratic system and was the hallmark of an authoritarian leader. Furthermore, she argued, these efforts were a deliberate effort to target and undermine the longstanding commitments to elections, voting rights, the rule of law and one person, one vote.

All this, she said, was the work of a “demagogue” who has sought to undermine America’s commitment to the democratic system of government for four years. Such a stark attack on America’s electoral system is fundamentally wrong, and if allowed to persist would put every citizen’s faith in the country’s democratic process in danger.

Rather than narrow-mindedly pointing fingers at Trump, however, it is important to look for a more holistic approach to restoring the public’s faith in elections. This will require both an immediate commitment to maintaining incumbent election rules, and a long-term effort to increase civic engagement starting from the grassroots.

Watch

A return to a more trustworthy voting system, for starters! To reach this goal, it is crucial for both leaders and citizens to come together and promote a unified message of trust in the democratic process. Without such a unified effort, our country’s experience in the future will be far different from what it could be.
