Tucker Carlson Blasts ‘Disgusting’ Behavior Of US Ambassador In Budapest Speech

Tucker Carlson blasted the “disgusting” behavior of the U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, David Pressman, in a speech in Budapest on Friday. In the 27-minute video posted on his Twitter account, he labelled Pressman’s behavior as “inexcusable”. “The Biden Administration is spending its time harassing one of our last sincere allies in Europe, Hungary, for the crime of being too Christian,” said the former Fox News host.

Carlson was in Hungary for the second time and said the country was similar to “America circa 1985”. He praised the population’s capacity to “disagree, but not be on the verge of shooting each other” and said that it was a country with “no expansionist power”. He also spoke about the fact that United States policymakers “hate Russia” and clarified that he is “not a fan of Russia”, joking “I wouldn’t admit it to a Hungarian audience”.

“When I hear Orbán described as a Putin suck-up, I think, ‘really?’” Carlson said. “That image of Orbán being pushed against a police car with a baton to his neck by Soviet-backed policemen comes to mind. Yeah, he’s probably not pro-Russia. Just guessing.”

Carlson is set to release an interview he conducted with Hungary Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, on his Twitter account.

In his speech on Friday, Tucker Carlson expressed his disdain for the “inexcusable” behavior of the US ambassador in Budapest. Carlson was visiting Hungary for the second time and said it was “one of the last countries that identifies as a nation built on Christian precepts”.

He praised Hungary for being “a country concerned with its own safety and prosperity” and compared it to “America circa 1985” because of its capacity to “disagree, but they’re not on the verge of shooting each other.”

“This is not an expansionist power. This is not a power that’s crushing weaker nations with sanctions. This is not a power that’s exporting something ugly to the rest of the world,” said Carlson, adding that it was “a country that’s minding its own business”.

He then went on to criticize US policymakers’ attitude towards Russia, saying, “When I hear Orbán described as a Putin suck-up, I think, ‘really?’ That image of Orbán being pushed against a police car with a baton to his neck by Soviet-backed policemen comes to mind. Yeah, he’s probably not pro-Russia. Just guessing.”

Carlson ended by saying that he would soon be releasing an interview with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on his Twitter account, presumably as part of his ongoing effort to offer an alternative opinion on US foreign policy.
