In a recent interview with former White House press secretary Jen Psaki on MSNBC’s show Inside with Jen Psaki, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took the opportunity to once again warn of potential Russian interference in the upcoming 2024 election. According to Clinton, Russian President Vladimir Putin “has indeed interfered in our elections” and is likely to do so once again.
Despite many denials, Clinton firmly believes in Russia’s past interference in the 2016 election, where she lost to former President Donald Trump. “I don’t think there is any doubt that he interfered in our election,” Clinton asserted, adding that Putin has also meddled in the internal affairs of other countries by “funding political parties, funding political candidates, [and] buying off government officials.”
But Clinton’s warnings go beyond just potential election interference. She believes that Putin’s ultimate goal is to “expand his reach” and acquire more territory. “Part of the reason he worked so hard against me is because he didn’t want me in the White House,” she claimed. “We have to reject authoritarianism, we have to reject a kind of creeping fascism almost of people who are really ready to turn over their thinking, their votes to wannabe dictators.”
However, it is worth noting that the recent Durham report essentially exonerated former President Trump and discredited the entire Russian collusion narrative. As reported by Breitbart News, the report “confirmed that the FBI launched a politically motivated witch hunt against Trump” and ignored intelligence that Clinton’s campaign was planning to falsely accuse Trump of colluding with Russia.
Despite this, Clinton continues to cling to the belief that Putin is solely responsible for her electoral defeat. But her fear-mongering tactics and desperate attempts to shift blame only serve to perpetuate divisions and undermine trust in the democratic process.
Additionally, it is important to consider the potential consequences of constantly demonizing Russia and its leader. Such inflammatory rhetoric only serves to escalate tensions between the two nations and could potentially lead to dangerous and unnecessary conflicts.
It is time for Clinton to accept the outcome of the 2016 election and move on. As long as politicians like Clinton continue to promote baseless claims and perpetuate fear, true progress and unity will remain out of reach.
