Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky slammed the media for pushing a “false narrative” and engaging in a “cover-up” in regards to the impeachment inquiry hearings surrounding Hunter Biden. In an interview with Fox Business, Comer previewed the upcoming hearings and emphasized the importance of exposing the truth to the American people.
Comer stated, “Our friends in the mainstream media are trying to create a false narrative that there is no evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden, and that’s simply not the case.” He continued, “In the beginning, they were saying there was no evidence of wrongdoing by anybody, but I think that ship has sailed and the media has accepted that the president’s son committed many crimes.”
He then went on to clarify that the focus of the investigation is on Joe Biden and not just Hunter. “This is about Joe Biden, and that is what we hope to get across to the American people on Thursday.”
Comer also brought up the recent testimonies of IRS whistleblowers who have provided evidence supporting the allegations against the Bidens. “Their stories never changed, but Weiss’s story changed many times about Merrick Garland’s level of involvement,” he claimed. Comer also mentioned that two more whistleblowers have come forward and that the Ways and Means Committee will be releasing more evidence in their hearing on Friday.
“There certainly has been a cover-up,” Comer asserted. He emphasized that it’s not just David Weiss, the investigator on the Biden family case, who has been involved in the cover-up, but also the National Archives and the FBI. “We found the FD-1023 form that alleged Joe Biden took a bribe,” he revealed.
When discussing the evidence against the Bidens, Comer stated, “We already have mountains of evidence, and the media is going to regret all the reporting and fake narratives they have tried to create that there is no evidence. The truth is that there is overwhelming evidence, and we’ll continue to gather more despite being obstructed by the Department of Justice and the Biden’s expensive legal team.”
He concluded by comparing uncovering the truth to “tracking a bleeding bear through a snowstorm,” emphasizing that the evidence left by the Bidens will eventually lead to revealing the truth to the American people.
The media’s attempts to downplay and hide the allegations against the Bidens has been a major topic of concern for Comer and others supporting the impeachment inquiry. With strong evidence starting to surface, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for the media to avoid reporting on the truth.
The American people deserve to know the full story, and it’s up to the lawmakers involved in the inquiry to ensure that happens. As Comer puts it, “We’re just trying to put it together to present it to the American people.”
