Recently, Kari Lake, a former Republican candidate for governor, confronted Arizona Representative Ruben Gallego at the Phoenix airport over the border crisis. Lake, who just filed to run for U.S. Senate, called out Gallego for his party’s support of open borders and the influx of illegal immigrants crossing into the country. The video, exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller, shows the two engaged in a heated debate.
As Gallego approached Lake, he recognized her from her former career as a journalist. However, Lake wasted no time in addressing the pressing issue of the border crisis and how it has greatly affected Arizona and the rest of the nation. Gallego, a staunch supporter of late-term abortion and a vocal opponent of Trump’s border wall, tried to defend his party’s stance, but Lake was not convinced.
Lake pointed out the disastrous consequences of having open borders, including the influx of fentanyl and the rising death toll of young Americans. She called out Gallego for his lack of concern for the border security of Arizona, a border state. Gallego, on the other hand, shifted the blame to the U.S. ports of entry for the influx of drugs. The two also had a heated exchange about the homeless population in Arizona.
Lake did not hold back in voicing her concerns about Gallego’s potential bid for Senate, calling him out for wanting to “destroy our country.” She acknowledged his service to the nation, but expressed disappointment in his lack of concern for the border crisis. Gallego tried to defend himself and even invited Lake to visit the border with him, but Lake remained firm in her stance that the border wall must be finished to secure the country.
In response to Gallego’s criticism of Trump not having Mexico pay for the border wall, Lake reminded him of Biden’s decision to give away $300 million in border wall materials, essentially giving in to Mexico’s demands. She also confidently stated that she will beat Gallego in the Senate race and bring in policies that prioritize America’s interests.
According to Lake’s spokesperson, Gallego had previously challenged her to talk to him when he spotted her on a plane. Lake, not one to back down from a bully, took him up on his offer and confronted him at the airport. Nevertheless, Gallego ran to the New York Times to complain about the encounter. This interaction only further highlights the clear divide between Democrats and Republicans when it comes to securing the border and protecting American interests.
Lake’s strong stance on securing the border and prioritizing America’s interests showcase her dedication to protecting the nation and its citizens. It is clear that under her leadership, Arizona and the country as a whole will see a drastic improvement in border security and policies that put American interests first. It is time to say no to the destructive policies of the Democrats and support candidates like Kari Lake who will fight for America and its people.
