Former State Department official Mark Dubowitz slammed the Bidenites’ claims, stating, “It’s almost like they’ve never heard of asset swaps between governments, never heard of how Iran uses the sanctions and economic pressure regime to get the cash it needs to fund proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah.” In other words, the Biden administration knowingly allowed funds to go to Iran that could potentially be funneled towards terrorist groups like Hamas.
Dubowitz also shed light on how Iran bypasses sanctions and uses cash from multiple accounts to fund terror. This only adds more fuel to the fire for those criticizing Biden’s decision to release the $6 billion to Iran. It’s clear that this money could very well have ended up in the hands of Hamas, the very group responsible for the current conflict with Israel.

Despite this evidence, Biden’s allies have continued to equivocate and downplay the situation. One Fox News correspondent even attempted to justify the $6 billion release, stating, “Trump released $1.8 billion in aid to Israel while Biden released $250 million for new budget year.” However, this argument doesn’t hold up when considering the fact that Biden’s administration approved a direct cash payment to Iran, with no strings attached.

This equivocation and downplaying of the situation is dangerous and unacceptable.
