MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Asked Mother Of Kidnapped Israeli Children The WORST Question

Today, on MSNBC, Andrea Mitchell exemplified why she is one of the worst journalists in America. Since Hamas invaded Israel just the other day, hundreds of horrible atrocities have taken place.

People have been gunned down at a party, women have been raped and kidnapped, and even babies have been beheaded. With such heart wrenching events unfolding, Mitchell had the nerve to bring on an Israeli mother, whose two children were abducted by Hamas. With complete disregard for her feelings, Mitchell proceeded to ask an incredibly insensitive and foolish question about Israel’s ability to defend itself.

This mother was in no mood for such questions, and she responded with fiery ferocity. She made it clear that countries do not kidnap children, and that Hamas had violated this law of warfare. She then commented on how scared she was when missiles were being shot, as it was a thought her children could have still been at home during the attack, and that she used to tell them that the Gazan children were feeling much worse. She concluded her statement with her call for the government and the world to make the rescue of the hostages the highest priority in the conflict.

The rescue efforts are not going to be an easy undertaking. Gaza is a tiny enclave, measuring just 25 miles long and 7 miles wide, and is constantly monitored by Israeli forces. With there being many more hostages than anticipated, it presents Israel with an unparalleled challenge. People such as Gershon Baskin, who was involved in negotiating the release of an Israeli soldier, are left astounded by the convenience of which Hamas was able to acquire these hostages.

For those taken captive, the procurement of freedom is a top priority. While this might be a difficult challenge for Israel to overcome, those in control must make sure to put their utmost effort into it. Even then, the odds might be heavily stacked against them. No matter what the result, the true tragedy of this appalling ordeal lies with the victims, who are most likely scared and confused as to their fate.
