Tucker Carlson and GB News host Nigel Farage discussed the potential calls to accept refugees from Gaza on Monday, with Farage pointing out the massive pro-Hamas protests that have taken place in London. Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York had recently called on the Biden administration to admit Palestinian refugees who have been affected by the Israeli military operations, which began on October 13th after Israel urged residents of Gaza to evacuate.
During the discussion, Carlson brought up the fact that those who are advocating for the acceptance of these refugees also acknowledge the threat that they could pose to Israel, and yet they are still calling for other countries, such as the U.K. and the U.S., to take them in. He asked Farage for his thoughts on this matter.
In response, Farage acknowledged that the U.K. has a history of taking in refugees, dating back to the Huguenots who were being persecuted and burned at the stake in France 300 years ago. However, he also pointed out the current issue with Hamas enjoying considerable support in Gaza, as seen in the last election where they came out on top. “You’ve got to ask if maybe, we’ve got enough of a problem in this country already,” Farage questioned.
The discussion then turned to the recent pro-Hamas protests in London, where roughly 70,000 people marched to call for an end to Israeli military operations in Gaza. The protests included chants such as “From the river to the sea, Palestine will soon be free,” a slogan with violent connotations of wiping out Israel.
Farage went on to criticize the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) for not calling Hamas what they truly are: a terrorist group. He also mentioned the Oct. 7th terrorist attack carried out by Hamas, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,400 people, including at least 30 Americans.
“It’s a little strange,” Carlson commented on the calls for accepting Gaza refugees. “I’m not calling for Israel to take them, but those same people are saying the U.K. and the U.S. and Scotland should take them. What’s the thinking here?”
Farage concluded the discussion by pointing out the potential problems of allowing in refugees from a region where a terrorist group has significant support. He also questioned if it was wise to take in refugees when countries like the U.K. already have enough problems to deal with.
In agreement with Tucker Carlson, it is important to understand the potential risks and consequences of accepting refugees from Gaza. As Farage mentioned, Hamas is a well-known terrorist group that has carried out heinous attacks on innocent civilians, including women and children. Allowing in refugees from a region where this group has significant support could potentially pose a security threat to the host country.
Moreover, as Farage pointed out, countries like the U.K. already have enough problems to deal with, such as political and economic issues. Taking in refugees from Gaza would only add to the existing problems and could potentially strain resources.
It is also concerning that there are large pro-Hamas protests taking place in London, where people are chanting violent slogans against Israel. Allowing in refugees from this region could potentially bring these sentiments into the host country, creating further social and political tensions.

While it is important to show compassion and support for those affected by conflicts in the Middle East, it is also crucial to carefully consider the potential consequences of accepting refugees from regions where terrorist groups have significant support. The safety and well-being of the host country and its citizens should not be compromised. As Farage and Carlson have pointed out, we must ask ourselves if we already have enough problems to deal with in our own countries before taking on more.
