Hunter Biden’s legal troubles seem to be piling up as a former attorney doubts his ability to get the charges against him dismissed. During a recent MSNBC segment, Harry Litman, a former U.S. attorney, expressed skepticism about Hunter Biden’s chances of successfully fighting the gun charges filed against him in Delaware.
Litman pointed out that the younger Biden’s legal team has filed four motions to get the charges dropped on constitutional grounds. However, he cast doubt on the effectiveness of this strategy and suggested that another person in similar circumstances would not be taking the same approach.
“It just seems to me if it were another person who had, like him, been in drug addiction and had paid it all back, they just wouldn’t have done what they’re doing here,” Litman told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “So it’s a shame. But I think he’s very much in hot water now.”
But the gun charges in Delaware may be the least of Hunter Biden’s legal troubles. He has also been indicted by a federal grand jury in California on nine counts related to his alleged failure to pay over $1 million in taxes. The indictment details his lucrative business dealings in Ukraine, Romania, and China, where he made a total of $7 million in gross income from various entities.
It’s clear that Hunter Biden’s legal issues go beyond mere gun charges and involve serious accusations of corruption. His dealings in foreign countries have drawn scrutiny and could potentially lead to more charges and legal consequences.
Biden initially struck a plea deal with Special Counsel David Weiss, in which he would plead guilty to the tax charges in Delaware in exchange for no jail time. However, this deal fell apart at a court appearance in July, when Judge Maryellen Noreika questioned the validity of a prosecutorial immunity provision within the agreement. As a result, Biden was forced to plead not guilty to the charges.
All of this paints a troubling picture of Hunter Biden and his alleged corrupt actions. His attempts to dismiss the gun charges and his previous plea deal raise questions about his credibility and the extent of his involvement in illegal activities.
The fact that these charges and investigations are taking place while his father, Joe Biden, is President only adds to the controversy and raises concerns about the potential for political interference. It is important for the legal system to be impartial and for all individuals, regardless of their family connections, to be held accountable for their actions.
In light of these developments, it’s clear that Hunter Biden is facing serious consequences for his alleged actions. As Litman noted, his complaints and attempts to have the charges dismissed may not hold up in court. It seems that the extent of his corruption and potential legal repercussions are becoming more and more apparent. It’s up to the legal system to determine the truth and deliver justice in this situation.
