A Venezuelan national, Endrina Bracho, residing in the community of Lake Charles, was involved in a car accident that claimed the life of young Travis Wolfe. The 12-year-old was riding in a Jeep with his parents in Hazelwood, Missouri, when Bracho’s speeding vehicle struck them head-on in December. The boy fought for months, but tragically passed away on March 6. The driver, who came into the country through the open southern border, was charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter, second-degree assault, child endangerment, and driving without a license.
According to the arresting officer, Daniel Johnston, he believed Bracho was a “flight risk” as she was “here illegally from Venezuela.” The judge set her bond at $500,000, but that does little to console the Wolfe family who has lost their beloved son due to the reckless immigration policies of the Biden administration. The family is now a part of the growing number of American families who have lost loved ones at the hands of people who should not have been in the country in the first place.
The tragic death of Travis Wolfe is just one among many caused by the negligent immigration policies of the White House. Laken Riley, a nursing student from Georgia, was also killed last month by Jose Antonio Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan national who entered the country through Biden’s open border. Both Missouri and Georgia are not border states, but with the influx of uncontrolled migration, every state is now a border state.
The Biden administration seems to have no regard for the safety and well-being of American citizens. The President celebrated ending former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies at the beginning of his term, and the consequences have been devastating. The parents of Travis Wolfe and Laken Riley will never see their children again, but the White House remains adamant about their lenient and open-door approach to immigration. Will the needless death of American citizens ever make them reconsider their stance?
Sadly, it is highly unlikely. The administration’s pursuit of future voters seems to have overshadowed any concern for the victims of illegal immigration and their families. Every day, the Department of Homeland Security allows an endless stream of “asylum seekers” into the country, putting American citizens last. The question remains, where is the asylum for the Wolfe and Riley families? Will they ever receive justice for the loss of their loved ones?

As the country mourns the senseless death of Travis Wolfe, one can only wonder if there will ever be an end to this tragedy. Will the Biden administration take responsibility for the blood on their hands, or will they continue to turn a blind eye to the suffering of American families? It is time for the White House to prioritize the safety and well-being of American citizens over their agenda of open borders and unchecked immigration. As the saying goes, “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” Let us not allow any more innocent lives to be sacrificed for the sake of political gain.
