Joe Biden exhibited a stunning lack of awareness during an exchange with reporters at the White House on Wednesday, when he claimed that he was living in the 20th century and made a desperate appeal to voters for a second term.
As the president stood in the Rose Garden, a reporter posed a question to him about a recent ruling by the Arizona Supreme Court that effectively outlaws most abortions in the state. The court upheld a law from 1864 that allows for exceptions to the ban if the life of the mother is at risk.

According to a transcript provided by the White House, the reporter, identified as Peter Alexander of NBC News, asked Biden: “On the issue of abortion, sir, respectfully, what do you say to the people of Arizona right now who are witnessing a law go into place that dates back to the Civil War era?”
In response, Biden made a flippant comment, urging the people of Arizona to “elect me.” He then proceeded to claim that he was living in the “20th century” and not the current 21st century, before adding, “They weren’t even a state…” These remarks were met with disbelief and ridicule on social media.
So frustrating that the media just lets this go https://t.co/Z4sAtHNkht

It is astonishing that the President of the United States, a man who holds the most powerful office in the world, seems to be completely out of touch with both the present and the past. The law in question was not passed in the 20th century, as Biden so mistakenly claimed, but in the 19th century by the Arizona Territorial Legislature. The fact that Biden was either unaware of this or simply ignored it is deeply concerning.
Hahaha ????
Keep sending Biden out there and let him talk. Trump won’t need to spend a dime campaigning. #landslide https://t.co/eNJSM2u9yW

Biden’s desperate plea for reelection, coupled with his confusion about the timeline and history of Arizona, only serves to highlight his weak and misguided leadership. It is apparent that Biden is grasping at straws, attempting to use this issue as a means to secure votes in the upcoming election. This self-serving behavior is shameful and shameful for a man who holds the highest office in the land.
Joe Biden struggles to know what century we are in! His cognitive impairment poses an existential threat to our nation. https://t.co/X2I8VLQSAh

The fact that the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on Roe v. Wade has opened the door for states to implement stricter abortion laws has undoubtedly left many Americans feeling anxious and concerned. However, instead of offering genuine solutions or reassurance, Biden has resorted to making inaccurate and tone-deaf comments. With his statement that the Arizona law dates back to the “Civil War era,” Biden is not only showing a lack of understanding of the issue at hand but also displaying a lack of respect for the gravity of the situation.
Biden literally has no clue what year it is https://t.co/aJIyOUffoP

It is clear that Biden is not fit to lead our nation. His ignorance, confusion, and desperation are all indicative of a larger problem within his administration.
This man doesn’t have a flipping clue…
