Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia delivered a scathing and fiery tirade during Monday’s House Oversight Committee hearing, taking aim at Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle over the agency’s mishandling of the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
In a stunning video that quickly went viral, Greene confronted Cheatle and demanded answers about the agency’s failure to protect the former president. Specifically, Greene asked about reports that the gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, had flown a drone over the venue where Trump was shot.
However, Cheatle’s responses only seemed to fuel Greene’s anger and frustration. When asked if Crooks had flown a drone over any part of the venue, Cheatle replied, “I would have to go back and check the timeline.” This prompted Greene to question why Cheatle did not bring a timeline with her to the hearing. Clearly fed up, Greene exclaimed, “Why didn’t you bring the timeline with you today to answer our questions?”
But Cheatle’s lack of preparedness was not the only thing that incensed Greene. When asked if there was a stand-down order or a conspiracy to kill President Trump, Cheatle flatly denied these claims. But Greene was not convinced, and she forcefully stated, “I don’t believe you and neither do the people watching in this hearing.” She continued, “You’re not doing well, as Mr. Moskowitz informed you. You’ve been sitting here for three hours, and I’ll have you know the entire country is demanding you resign and demanding that you be fired if you do not resign.”
Greene’s frustration was shared by other members of the committee, including Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Florida, who compared Cheatle’s performance to that of college presidents who were grilled about anti-Semitism on college campuses, resulting in resignations. Moskowitz stated, “That’s how this is going for you. This is where this is headed.”
???? WOW! COMPLETE FLAMETHROWER ????
MTG TORCHES disgraced US Secret Service Director Cheatle after forcing her to answer point-blank:
"Was there a stand-down order, Ms. Cheatle?
Was there a conspiracy to kill President Trump?!"Her response says it all.

However, it was Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland who perhaps put it best when he said there was “no daylight” between the members of both parties in their outrage and bafflement over the Secret Service’s handling of the attempted assassination. Raskin supported the calls for Cheatle’s resignation or termination, along with 15 other members of the committee who signed a letter demanding the same.
Greene’s passionate and unrelenting pursuit of answers from Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle during the House Oversight Committee hearing was a powerful and poignant example of the American people’s demand for accountability and transparency from their government.
The outrage displayed by Greene and other members of the committee is a testament to the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for resolution.
