He posited that Harris’ proposal might benefit migrant families at the expense of the black community, suggesting a lack of consideration for African Americans within the Democratic agenda.
In defense of Harris’ policy, Martin argued that focusing on first-time homebuyers could be advantageous for black individuals, given their lower rates of homeownership. The clash between the two highlighted contrasting views on the potential outcomes of Harris’ economic initiatives for marginalized communities.
