Harris Attempts to Gaslight America, Blames Trump for Afghan Disaster

Vice President Kamala Harris, a massive disappointment and failure, has once again attempted to shift the blame for the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal on former President Donald Trump. The bungled withdrawal, which resulted in the deaths of 13 American service members, the spread of chaos and fear, and the abandonment of thousands of desperate Afghans, was solely the responsibility of Harris and her boss, President Joe Biden.

The Harris-Walz campaign released a shameful statement, trying to shift blame onto Trump for the fiasco that unfolded in August. They claimed that “Trump left the Biden-Harris Administration with zero plans for an orderly withdrawal,” but conveniently failed to mention that it was Biden’s decision, against the advice of his military experts, to withdraw all troops in September 2021. This move paved the way for the Taliban to easily sweep into Kabul and topple the U.S.-backed government.

The reality is, Trump had begun negotiations with the Taliban, but they had not been finalized by the time he left office in January 2020. It was Harris and Biden who chose to go ahead with this reckless withdrawal, and they must be held accountable for the disastrous consequences that followed. The remaining U.S. troops in Kabul were forced to carry out the withdrawal and evacuation efforts under extremely dangerous and chaotic conditions, resulting in the deaths of 13 brave American service members.

The Harris-Walz campaign went as far as to accuse President Trump of trying to politicize the ceremony honoring the fallen Americans. However, the families of the fallen had invited Trump and gave him permission to film the event, making it clear that the Harris-Walz campaign’s criticism was tasteless and disrespectful. In fact, the families have even released statements condemning the campaign’s attempt to politicize the tragedy for their own gain.

Despite this, the Harris-Walz 2024 National Security Spokesperson Morgan Finkelstein shamelessly tried to gaslight the public, saying that “Trump shamelessly attacks the Vice President because he hopes he can trick the country into forgetting that his own actions undermined U.S. strategy.” This is simply absurd. The Biden-Harris administration had the chance to change the terms of the deal with the Taliban, but they went ahead with Biden’s plan, resulting in a catastrophic failure.

National security expert Rebeccah Heinrichs rightly pointed out the absurdity of the campaign’s statement, saying, “This is crazy. Harris and Biden have defended their disastrous decision and process for the Afghanistan withdrawal. Campaign staff are not going to convince Americans otherwise.”

Donald Trump’s campaign advisor Jason Miller reminded everyone that Harris had previously boasted about being the “last person in the room” when Biden made the decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan. It is clear that Harris and Biden are trying to shift the blame for their own failures onto Trump, but the American people are not fooled.

Trump has consistently put America’s interests and security first. He started negotiations with the Taliban, but he also left it up to his successor to make the final decision.

The blame for the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal lies solely on the shoulders of Harris and Biden, and they must be held accountable for their failures. The families of the fallen Americans deserve the truth, not more attempts to shift blame and distract from the root cause of this tragedy.
