CNN anchor Jim Acosta was confronted by former Donald Trump campaign senior adviser Corey Lewandowski on Wednesday for neglecting to acknowledge the thousands of illegal immigrants with homicide convictions currently in the United States. Lewandowski appeared on “CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta” to discuss the ongoing crisis at the southern border.
“Corey, can you say that Haitian migrants are not eating pets in Springfield?” Acosta asked snidely.
Lewandowski responded by asking Acosta if he would admit that 13,099 murders have been committed by illegal immigrants who were allowed into the country by the Biden administration. “And you guys don’t want to talk about it … Jim, admit that 13,099 murderers have been let into this country,” Lewandowski challenged.
Acosta, however, refused to acknowledge the statistics and instead focused on Lewandowski’s pronunciation of Vice President Kamala Harris’ first name. “Jim, we know that they’re committing crimes against Americans,” Lewandowski persisted. “Why can’t these individuals talk about the individuals who have been killed by illegal immigrants? 13,099 murderers have been let into this country by this administration’s own accounting.”
Acosta continued to deflect, claiming that the 13,099 number is “false” and that it spans several administrations. Lewandowski pushed back, questioning Acosta’s reasoning and pointing to the Department of Homeland Security’s confirmation of the data.
CNN has repeatedly attempted to downplay the crisis at the southern border and ignore the impact of illegal immigration on American citizens. When Lewandowski presented verifiable statistics, Acosta dismissed them and attempted to change the subject.
“Border crossings are down and crime is down,” Acosta asserted. But Lewandowski disagreed, citing discrepancies between local and national crime statistics. While the FBI’s data showed a 3% decrease in violent crime, other sources have shown an increase in certain violent crimes, such as rape, robbery, and aggravated assault.
Lewandowski pushed Acosta to admit that the 13,099 murderers allowed into the country are a problem, but the CNN anchor refused to do so. Instead, he continued to push the narrative that Biden’s policies have nothing to do with the current immigration and crime crisis in the country.
By ignoring the facts and refusing to acknowledge the impact of illegal immigration, the liberal media is failing to provide the public with accurate information. Their blatant attempts to cover up the consequences of open borders only serve to further their political agenda, rather than reporting the truth.
Trump Senior Adviser @CLewandowski_: "You know what I can say, Jim, I can say that 13,099 murderers were let into this country, 16,000 rapists… that are running around this country, Jim."

In this heated exchange, Corey Lewandowski challenged Jim Acosta to face the reality of 13,099 murderers in the country. Despite clear evidence, Acosta refused to admit the truth and instead attempted to discredit the data. It is this type of biased and dishonest reporting that erodes trust in the media and prevents effective solutions to the problems facing our nation.
