In fact, Crawford also pointed out that Democrats have been waging a calculated war on the Supreme Court for quite some time now. This is not surprising, as Democrats have been using judicial activism to push their agenda for years, leaving no room for bipartisan compromise.
But the left’s attacks on the court have reached a new level in the wake of the Dobbs decision, in which the court overturned Roe v. Wade. The outrage over this decision has prompted a calculated effort by Democrats to undermine the legitimacy of the Supreme Court, with Senate hearings, scandalous stories, and overblown accusations being thrown left and right.
It’s clear that the left’s ultimate goal is to pack the court with liberal justices, which would effectively turn the judicial branch into a political tool for Democratic policies. But Trump’s potential fourth appointment will prevent this from happening and preserve the court’s integrity.
If Trump does get to appoint another justice, we can expect to see the left ramp up their attacks on the Supreme Court. This will only further divide the country and undermine the authority of the court.
But what the left fails to understand is that the Supreme Court’s role is to interpret the law, not to legislate from the bench. With a solid conservative majority, the court will be able to make decisions based on the Constitution and the rule of law, rather than political agendas.
