What is a woman? Seems like such a simple question but for Democrats, they’re either too dumb or afraid to just answer the damn question.
Laughter erupted when former Democratic Governor Martin O’Malley claimed he could define what a woman is, only to stumble spectacularly. Republican Representative Nancy Mace from South Carolina stood as a determined advocate for women’s rights. However, O’Malley, a past Democratic Governor of Maryland and a short-term Social Security Commissioner under President Joe Biden, became the latest example of so-called “woke” leftists who avoid defining the difference between men and women. During a House Oversight Committee hearing concerning the stay-at-home federal workforce on Wednesday, Mace questioned O’Malley on the definition of a woman, exposing his inability to give a direct answer.
“Madam, er, Congresswoman,” O’Malley started, prompting Mace to interrupt and ask again, “Can you define what a woman is?” This exchange highlighted the reluctance of liberal leaders to give straightforward responses. O’Malley’s answer, tailored to satisfy the leftist agenda, was poorly received. As the interaction unfolded, he attempted to sidestep the issue by stating, “I’m talking to a woman right now — distinguished woman — elected representative,” rather than providing the clear definition Mace was seeking.
Clearly unprepared, O’Malley continued to fumble through Mace’s persistent questioning. He attempted to satisfy the query by mentioning, “I’m married to a woman. I have two daughters who are women,” yet failed to provide a definitive answer. This went on for several minutes, shifting focus to related questions about the definition of a man, whether fears of rape are irrational, and the Democratic Party’s vague stance on gender.
Despite Mace’s attempts at clarity, O’Malley’s evasiveness was apparent. Mace resembled a Democratic senator at a confirmation hearing, asking pointed questions but receiving unsatisfactory answers. This episode aligns with Mace’s record of passionate advocacy, although her methods can sometimes overshadow her arguments.
Mace, known for her bold rhetoric, often speaks candidly, to the extent of clashing with others like Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett of Texas. Despite past controversies, Mace’s commitment to safeguarding women from the transgender agenda stands resolute.
The 2024 election brought Democratic Representative Sarah McBride of Delaware to Congress, a man identifying as a woman. In response, Mace introduced a resolution to ensure men remain out of women’s bathrooms on Capitol Hill, thus provoking fury from transgender activists.
Crucially, Mace persistently seeks to reveal Democratic hesitance to define basic gender distinctions. O’Malley evaded the topic by using examples, merely acknowledging women around him instead of offering a definition. His approach satisfied the leftist narrative but avoided confronting the simple truth.
For the liberal media, the simplicity of defining a woman mirrors the absurdity of claiming “two plus two equals five.” Democrats now echo the authoritarian tactics depicted in George Orwell’s “1984,” where the tyrannical state forced compliance by demanding acceptance of irrational truths.
As Democrats inch closer to resembling the notorious fictional tyrants of literature, Republicans like Mace stand firm, ensuring their voices are heard. President Trump, throughout his tenure, has championed straightforwardness and resilience, providing a stark contrast to the ambiguity of his political opponents.
