Lee Zeldin, the current Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has unveiled startling accusations against the Biden administration regarding the misuse of taxpayer money. These revelations emerged following an undercover video produced by Project Veritas in December. This video unveiled an EPA advisor admitting that monumental sums of taxpayer dollars were hastily allocated to climate initiatives just weeks before President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Brent Efron, a key advisor at the EPA deeply involved in furthering President Biden’s climate agenda, was recorded by Project Veritas discussing this hurried effort to distribute funds well before Trump’s administration took office. Efron stated, “Now it’s how to get the money out as fast as possible before they [Trump Administration] come in. It truly feels like we’re on the Titanic or throwing gold bars off the top edge.”
In light of Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, referred to by Efron as “Biden’s climate law,” the administration earmarked over $100 billion for diverse environmental undertakings. Efron elaborated on the agency’s determination to commit these monies to various projects, including initiatives initially intended for potential future president Kamala Harris. He remarked, “The thing that we haven’t funded yet are [sic] the local nonprofit program that was going to be an inter-Kamala Harris administration program… so now we’re getting it [funding] out as quick as possible. It’s like two billion at this point, we’ve got most of it out – like 90%.”
Efron further disclosed that the EPA intended to keep up this rapid pace of financial distribution up until the very last moment of Inauguration Day. “We gave them [nonprofits, states, tribes] the money because… it was an insurance policy against Trump winning. Because they aren’t [a government agency], they’re safer from Republicans taking the money away,” Efron explained. He also spoke of the EPA’s tactical use of non-profit organizations as a safeguard against Republican initiatives, indirectly suggesting the allure of job prospects post-tenure.
In a stunning reveal on Wednesday night, Zeldin indicated that his team at the EPA “found the gold bars.” He declared, “Following this revelation, during my meetings with members of Congress, I made a very important commitment to them and to the American people.” Zeldin vowed to perform a “full accounting” of the funds in question.

“Shockingly, roughly $20 billion of your tax dollars were parked at an outside financial institution by the Biden EPA. This scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history and it was purposely designed to obligate all of the money in a rush job with reduced oversight,” Zeldin stated. He pointed out that these funds were “awarded to just 8 entities that were then responsible for doling out your money to NGOs and others at their discretion with far less transparency. Just under $7 billion was sent to one entity called the Climate United Fund.”
Zeldin continued, “The financial agent agreement with the bank needs to be instantly terminated and the bank must immediately return all the gold bars that the Biden Administration tossed off the Titanic. EPA needs to assume responsibility of all these funds. We will review every penny that has gone out the door. I will [be] referring this matter to the inspector general’s office and will work with the Justice Department as well.”
