Footage obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation reveals how multiple Democrat lawmakers either refused to explain their opposition to the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act or dismissed the issue as a “myth.” This legislation, which passed with only four Democrat votes, would require proof of citizenship for voter registration and purge non-citizens from existing rolls. Yet, Democrats like New York Rep. Tom Suozzi absurdly claimed that concerns over non-citizen voting are nothing more than conspiracy theories “spread by Elon Musk.”
The Myth That Isn’t a Myth
Suozzi’s dismissal of the issue as a “myth” is laughable in the face of overwhelming evidence. In Alabama, Virginia, Ohio, and Texas, officials identified 17,000 non-citizens on voter rolls ahead of the 2024 election. In Arizona, a lawsuit forced the removal of nearly 50,000 registrants who failed to provide proof of citizenship. Oregon’s automatic voter registration system mistakenly added 118 non-citizens to its rolls, with at least 13 casting ballots. Even more egregious, illegal immigrants like Angelica Maria Francisco and Carlos Abreu pleaded guilty to voting fraudulently in federal elections. A Chinese national was even caught voting in Michigan’s 2024 election.
Yet, Democrats and their allies in the liberal media continue to gaslight the American public, pretending this isn’t happening. Meanwhile, the Biden administration actively fought states like Virginia and Alabama that tried to clean up their voter rolls. Why? Because Democrats benefit from illegal votes.
NRCC Exposes Democrat Hypocrisy
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) confronted multiple Democrats, including Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, California Rep. Mark Takano, and Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, demanding answers. Most either ignored the questions or deflected. NRCC spokesperson Ben Petersen blasted Democrats for their refusal to protect elections:
“Democrats continue denying reality to explain their pathetic votes against requiring proof of citizenship to vote. The American people deserve better than these Democrats who treat our sacred ballot box like an open border.”
The contrast couldn’t be clearer. While Democrats obstruct election security, President Donald Trump has been a steadfast champion of voter integrity. His administration prioritized measures to prevent fraud, and his continued leadership is crucial to ensuring that only American citizens decide American elections.
Liberal Media’s Silence is Complicity
Where is the outrage from CNN, MSNBC, or The New York Times? These outlets would be screaming about “election interference” if this were happening under a Republican administration. But because it benefits Democrats, they stay silent—or worse, parrot the lie that non-citizen voting isn’t real.
