Texas Governor Greg Abbott ruined Biden’s plans of making an example of border agents that were framed by the nets as violent criminals. The agents were photographed protecting the border on horse back but the timing of the photo gave the nets the ammo they needed. They began spinning a story that agents were whipping illegals. Their claims was immediately discredited by the photographer.
Even after the photographer came forward, Biden vowed to make the agents pay…
Here is the threat Biden made—Again, this was made AFTER the photo was discredited:
“To see people treated like they did, horses barely running over, people being strapped – it’s outrageous,” Biden said while pretending to crack an invisible whip.
“I promise you, those people will pay,” he said, referring to frontline Border Patrol agents. “There will be an investigation underway now and there will be consequences. There will be consequences.”
Enter Abbott who has valiantly defended the US border between Texas and Mexico since it was abandoned by the Biden administration:
“If any adverse action is taken against these border patrol agents who were doing their job to secure the border then Texas will offer them a job to help TX do the federal government job to secure the border These agents should be praised not persecuted.”

Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, told Fox News Digital in an interview that the situation on the ground in Del Rio was a “powder keg” as migrants had just discovered that they were in fact likely to be removed rather than allowed into the U.S.
“These agents were specifically sent to that location to stop more people from crossing, that was what they were sent there to do,” Judd said. “This was under the orders of their management which of course is under the control of Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas.”
