Or maybe you will. Before 2020, I don’t think many people would believe that the World Health Organization would push to legalize late stage (up to 9 months) abortions but now? I think WHO has made it very clear who butters their bread.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that their push to legalize the most horrific type of abortions as Democrats push to secure Roe V Wade.
Daily Mail reported that new guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) claim laws preventing abortion at any point during pregnancy risk violating the rights of ‘women, girls or other pregnant persons . . .
The WHO document recommends ‘full decriminalisation of abortion’ and the scrapping of laws and regulations that ‘prohibit abortion based on gestational limits’ and ‘restrict abortion’ on any grounds.
It says a review of 21 studies found that when women are denied later terminations it ‘can be viewed as [being] incompatible with . . . international human rights law’.”
It doesn’t end there, according to National Review:
That isn’t all. The WHO also wants to curtail medical conscience rights and permit sex-selection abortion. Specifically, the organization wants to:
-Allow abortion under all circumstances – ruling out laws banning terminations because the fetus is the ‘wrong’ sex;
-Stop women requiring approval from a doctor or nurse to have a termination;
-Roll out ‘pills by post’ schemes so that women can be sent abortion medication after a phone call;
-Curtail medical professionals’ rights to refuse to take part in abortions on conscience grounds.
Those are some pretty curt addendums. Mail order abortions? Termination by sex? Hender the doctor’s right to refuse? What about the doctor’s oath? “Do no harm”.
At this point, I am almost certain they’re throwing the most absurd stipulations so people will choose the ‘lesser of two evils’ and accept Democrats’ pro-abortion stance because it’s less ‘extreme’ than what the WHO has demanded.
