Back At It Again: MSM Nuts Want To Put Americans Back In Masks

As the temperatures begin to drop, the mind reverts back to the chill of the early pandemic still lingers and media outlets still clutch to the COVID-19 hysteria that plagues us even today. The latest example of this was seen on Wednesday on CNN’s This Morning when the hosts wanted to know if it was time to bring back masks.

Host Poppy Harlow asked if people should be considering masking-up once again, especially those considered high-risk. Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta responded with the “good news.” The map was almost entirely green, symbolizing lower levels of hospital admittance rates due to coronavirus.

But, Gupta did advise people to take caution if they plan on socializing with higher-risk individuals and used Peter Hotez, a go-to media expert, and others, as an example of people that have taken up masking again.

“We’re at an inflection point,” Gupta said, referring to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases, and reminded viewers to keep that in mind.

Considering the media’s tendency to disturb the status quo and cause hysteria, we can only hope they recognize the importance of individual autonomy in coming decisions. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to determine what is best for them. It is not the role of the media to have us tip toe and live in fear.

The act of masking-up in public or private should be determined by personal judgment and not those of the media. We may still be in a pandemic, but the level of fear should not impede with the choice people have to adhere to whatever makes them feel safe.

Yes, cases are on the rise, and it is only natural to take extra precautionary measures when it comes to protecting oneself. But people should have the freedom to do so without feeling the need to conform to what the news dictates.

It is essential to consult with one’s personal doctor and health advisor on the best ways to protect against the virus and prevent it’s spread. That is what is most integral in proceeding with caution without letting fear-mongering take over our on personal judgment.

The bottom line is that medical decisions should not be made by the media. We each have to make decisions based on what’s best for ourselves and the people around us. Be responsible, be safe, and whatever you do, don’t let the media dictate your well-being.
