This entire situation was instigated by attorneys for the unaccompanied migrant children, who made the sensationalist claim that the “Trump administration had launched an effort to deport more than 600 minors to Guatemala without allowing them to request humanitarian protection.” This narrative, eagerly amplified by the liberal media, deliberately ignores the central fact laid out by the administration: the goal was to “repatriate” the children to Guatemala to be reunited with their families. Trump deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller cut through the media’s disinformation with clarity, explaining the undeniable truth that the unaccompanied migrant children “have all self-reported that their parents are back home in Guatemala.” In a post on X, Miller responded to a post from Libs of TikTok, stating, “It’s actually much worse than even that. These smuggled migrant children were orphaned in America by the Biden Administration. The minors have all self-reported that their parents are back home in Guatemala. But a Democrat judge is refusing to let them reunify with their parents.”

This judicial blockade follows a CNN report that relied on “multiple sources” to reveal the administration’s plans, a leak clearly designed to spark opposition to a lawful and moral operation.
