Biden Takes Credit For The Civil Rights Movement, Check His Meds!

It’s no secret that Joe Biden has been trying to solidify his backing from Black voters, but his latest attempt is raising questions about his true involvement in the civil rights movement.

Biden recently gave a speech on the 58th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday” in Selma, Alabama, claiming that he was a student in the North during the civil rights movement. Unfortunately, there is no historical evidence to back up this claim.

This isn’t the first time Biden has made questionable remarks about his involvement in the civil rights movement. In 1983, he claimed to have participated in sit-in protests to desegregate public spaces, yet a former student later said that Biden and other white students were “oblivious” to the situation.

In 1987, he admitted to being “not an activist” during the 1960s, despite believing in the civil rights movement’s principles. Last January, he implied that he was arrested for being a civil rights activist, though he didn’t provide any details to back up this claim.

It’s clear that Biden is trying to take credit for actions he never actually participated in, simply to pander to the African-American community and gain votes. This is a cynical political move and it undermines the struggle of those who actually did fight for civil rights in the 1960s.

Unfortunately, Biden’s lies about his involvement in the civil rights movement are not only misleading, but also insulting to those who actually were part of the movement. It’s important to recognize the true heroes of the civil rights movement and not just those who are merely claiming to be without proof.

What’s even more concerning is that this dishonesty and pandering is not only tolerated, but even encouraged in our political discourse. Biden should be held accountable for his false claims and should not be allowed to take credit for something he was not a part of.

What’s even worse is that the Democratic party has a long history of enforcing Jim Crow laws. In the 1940s and 50s, Democratic states, including Biden’s home state of Delaware, were some of the most oppressive and segregationist in the country.

It’s time to call out those who are taking advantage of the civil rights movement for political gain and recognize the real heroes of the movement. We owe it to those who actually fought for civil rights to ensure that their hard work and dedication is not forgotten.

Watch

It’s time to stop tolerating dishonesty and pandering in our political discourse. We must hold our political leaders accountable for their words and actions and demand that they be honest and truthful. Only then can we restore faith in our political process and ensure that the civil rights movement is not forgotten.
