Biden’s Betrayal: Senator Exposes Broken Pledge to Keep US Oil Drilling!

During a Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing, Republican Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming confronted Interior Department official Robert Bonnie over President Joe Biden’s past statements on oil drilling. By displaying statements made by Biden regarding the end of oil drilling and denial of energy production holdup, it was clear that the former Vice President has broken his promises.

It is no secret that the Biden Administration has been pushing policies to accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels. However, during his presidential campaign, Joe Biden had promised to not only keep existing oil leases but also add new ones. His recent attempts to pause new leasing in federal lands have been seen as a betrayal of this promise.

More importantly, this decision could be detrimental for many states like Wyoming which depend heavily on energy revenues for their economic well-being.

During Tuesday’s hearing, Barrasso highlighted how Joe Biden had spoken about “transitioning away from the oil industry” and how he was not going to “ban fracking,” but rather make sure it is done safely.

“When was he lying, which was the lie? Because clearly the president is lying,” Barrasso asked Deputy Secretary of the Interior Tommy Beaudreau. “Which one?”

“So, Senator, I think, as you know, production on public lands both onshore and offshore has not stopped,” Beaudreau said in response. “In fact, in this administration, production levels — and this is just EIA information — has increased on public lands to over a billion barrels a year.”

Biden has betrayed America! His broken promises on oil drilling have shown that his words are nothing more than empty rhetoric. He has shown total disregard for the thousands of workers and their families who depend on oil production for their livelihoods.

In a statement he made during his presidential campaign, Biden promised to not only keep existing oil leases but also add new ones. But now, he is trying to pause new leasing in federal lands. This blatant disregard of the very people he claimed to protect shows how little his word is worth.

His betrayal of America is even more infuriating when you consider the fact that he is trying to accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels. This transition will most likely result in job losses and lower wages for those who depend on oil production. It will also make it more difficult for businesses to succeed, as they will be forced to pay higher prices for energy.

The hypocrisy of Biden’s rhetoric and actions are obvious. He claims to be an advocate for the working class, yet he is taking away the jobs and incomes of the very people he claims to represent. He claims to be an environmentalist, yet he is denying access to reliable and affordable energy resources.

What’s worse is that Biden’s broken promises are not only damaging to those who depend on oil production, but they are also damaging to the entire country. Oil production is essential to the economy, and the pause on new leasing will have a detrimental effect. It will lead to higher energy costs, and it will make it harder for businesses to succeed.

Watch

Senator Barrasso stressed during Tuesday’s hearing that if Joe Biden wants people to take him seriously, he must keep his word on issues related to energy production on federal lands or face serious pushback from Republicans across America who are tired of seeing empty promises from their elected officials.

The future of energy production in America remains unknown as long as politicians are prepared to breach promises with no consequences or responsibility – something that all Americans should be concerned about regardless of political affiliation or personal views on fossil fuels.

The blatant disregard for the people who depend on oil production for their livelihoods is unacceptable. Joe Biden has broken his promises, and he has betrayed America. He needs to stop trying to push his agenda and start listening to what the people have to say. He needs to start making decisions that are in the best interests of the country, not just his own.
