While the liberal media complex often rushes to provide cover for its own, the facts uncovered in this scandal are too explosive to ignore, painting a picture of a man who was not an ignorant youth, but a knowledgeable defender of Nazi symbolism.
According to a damning report from CNN’s KFile, evidence has mounted that Platner, a Marine veteran, was acutely aware of the Nazi symbolism that has been controversially embraced by some factions within the military. This directly contradicts his carefully crafted narrative of having gotten a “Totenkopf”-adjacent tattoo “while drunk” nearly two decades ago, a story he peddled on the left-wing podcast Pod Save America in a desperate attempt at damage control.
The investigation uncovered a series of deleted Reddit posts from 2019 where Platner, using his handle “P-Hustle,” actively weighed in on a conversation specifically about the “Totenkopf.” This is the very same skull-and-crossbones emblem worn by Hitler’s elite SS death squads, the same symbol his own tattoo so disturbingly resembles. In these discussions, the future Democratic Senate hopeful sought to normalize such imagery, noting that many U.S. service members had adopted similar symbols, like the Punisher skull used by some Navy SEALs.
The hypocrisy is staggering. This is not a man who made a single, isolated mistake in his past. This is a individual who, as recently as 2019 and 2020, was actively engaging in online debates to defend and contextualize the use of Nazi-associated symbols within military culture. His attempts to explain away this behavior reveal a deep-seated moral failing that is entirely at odds with the values he now claims to represent as a Democrat.
In a further display of this dismissive attitude, Platner also argued in a 2020 online discussion that “SS” lightning-bolt tattoos were a mere “culture” marker within Marine Scout Sniper units. He aggressively contended that they were not an expression of White supremacist ideology. When other users in the thread correctly identified the lightning bolts as a Nazi symbol, Platner contemptuously dismissed their valid criticism.
He arrogantly wrote that those criticizing the symbols “have no idea what they’re talking about,” demonstrating a shocking disregard for the horrific history these images represent. In a flippant and cynical remark, he added, “I will be sure to inform the Black guys I know with bolts that they’re Nazis now.” This statement showcases a pattern of deflection and a refusal to engage with the serious, hateful connotations of the imagery he defends.
