A recently released audio recording has revealed a plot to allegedly bribe Arizona GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake to stay out of the race last year. In the audio, which was published by the U.K. Daily Mail, Arizona Republican Party Chair Jeff DeWit can be heard speaking to Lake and detailing a plan to persuade her not to run. The conversation is believed to have taken place early last year.

During the audio recording, a man, who has been confirmed to be DeWit by the Mail, can be heard telling Lake that there are powerful individuals who do not want to see her enter the race. He suggests that she wait for two years, promising her an undisclosed amount of money from people “back east” that he believes will be enough to keep her from running.

Lake, a former news anchor, is the first prominent GOP candidate to take on incumbent Democratic Senator Mark Kelly in Arizona’s closely watched 2022 Senate race. In the audio, she is heard declining the offer while her counterpart refuses to reveal the identities of those who want her to stay out of the race.

DeWit reportedly tells Lake that there are “very powerful people” who are willing to financially support her to not run. He adds that they are “ready to put their money where their mouth is” as they do not want her to enter the race. The conversation is an eye-opener for Lake as she expresses her concerns about the anti-Trump sentiment in Washington and how it could negatively affect the country.

In a bid to get a better understanding of the situation, DeWit asks Lake to state an amount that would be sufficient for her to stay out of the race. However, Lake cuts him short, asking if she is being “bought.” Clearly offended by the suggestion, she asserts her stance, saying that she does not want to engage in such dealings with “these kinds of people.” She reaffirms her determination to fight for what she believes in, saying that it is a “hill worth dying on.”

Lake goes on to share her experience of being bribed at the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) in 2023, a claim that was used by the establishment media at the time to discredit her. She recalls how someone was sent to her door by “some powerful people back east” who were scared of her political aspirations. This incident only strengthened her resolve to stand up for her beliefs and fight against corruption in politics.

Lake’s claim of being bribed was controversially reported on by media outlets, with some dismissing it as a fabricated story. However, the recently released audio recording has provided solid evidence of her claims, bringing the issue back to the spotlight. The Western Journal has reached out to both Lake and DeWit for their comments on the matter.

The bombshell audio recording has shed light on a possible attempt to bribe Kari Lake to stay out of the Arizona Senate race in 2022.   2. This is why I stopped donating money to the RNC back in the late 80s. I’ll give money to specific candidates who I do my best to vet, but to the Party itself, NEVER. People wonder why nothing ever changes in this country, and here we have for our ears to hear, one of those reasons. Another reason is blackmail & extortion. Kudos to Lake for saying “no”. She is one of the “good ones”, and had the gubernatorial election stolen from her as a result.

  3. The reporter should have a basic, elementary school level grasp of the English language before writing any article, as should whoever is in the position of editor. If one misuses a word or term (which in the case of a journalist would be more than likely deliberate), the wrong or inaccurate idea can be inferred. In this article, Ms. Moon insinuated that Ms. Lake accepted a bribe by using the word bribed (Simple past tense and past participle of bribe) when in fact she refused DeWit’s attempt. By not knowing the difference, or by the deliberate use of the incriminating word, a false impression is made to the reader which is something that is expected from the propaganda department of the DNP (Democratic Nazi Party). That such a blatant misuse of the basics of the English language is allowed by writers and editors casts a very real doubt on the accuracy and patriotism of the Patriot Chronicles. This has to be addressed and corrected asap, but until then, reader beware.

I did not intentionally mislead anyone or write that she ‘accepted’ a bribe. I’m surprised that you came to that conclusion and apologize for any confusion.
      Mrs. Lake’s integrity has always spoken for itself and the leaked audio should served to cast out any doubt. As for my choice of wording, we find ourselves under strict censorship and guidelines, typically writers on any blog are given just a few words to get readers in to share a message.
      We would never intentionally mislead our readers because this is our community.
      I am glad whatever brought you in to read this article, did so. The media is intentionally not sharing the audio even though it’s freely available online.
