The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a new guide about LGBTQ inclusivity. This guide suggests that teachers should become transgender activists and join Gay–Straight Alliance (GSA) clubs.
The orginization published a massive LGBTQ inclusivity guide to presuide schools to follow this new woke agenda:
“Schools play a critical role in supporting the health and academic development of all youth, including the success of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/ questioning (LGBTQ) youth.
Creating and sustaining inclusive school environments, policies, programs, and practices that include LGBTQ youth is one strategy for improving the health and academic success of all youth. Inclusive in this context refers to the presence of clear policies or practices that address the needs of LGBTQ students who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized due to factors such as sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.”
The “woke“ agenda is too focused on social issues and not enough on academics. It takes away from valuable learning time, and that it can be seen as a form of ideological indoctrination. There are also concerns that it can lead to a hostile and unwelcoming classroom environment for those who disagree with the messages being presented.
The Biden administration has already labeled parents against the ‘woke’ agenda in schools as ‘terrorists’ and villainized anyone who opposes gender identity narratives and CRT.
Some politicians, like Florida’s Rn DeSantis, have banned some or all of the new ‘educational’ material from their school systems.
It’s to a point that some parents are too afraid to speak out against the new norms. Meanwhile, kids are spending far too much time discussing liberal ideologies and not enough time learning academics. Studies have already shown that American children have fallen behind global standards thanks to lockdowns forced during the pandemic so how is this supposed to help them?
