Check Out Their Edits After Sen. Tim Scott SCHOOLS CBS’s Costa On EVERYTHING [Video]

There are some interviews that are edited for brevity and clarity, in order to fit production demands. However, there are also interviews that seem to be edited in order to prevent further embarrassment for the interviewer. Such a case is apparent in Senator Tim Scott’s recent appearance on CBS’s Face The Nation.

A prime example of this is when Sen. Scott was asked about being called “Judas” by Nikki Haley’s son. The edited version that made it to air only included Scott’s response about politics, while omitting his Christian forgiveness portion with its appropriate Biblical citation. This is notable coming from the same network that aired a degenerate performance of “Unholy” on the Grammys, but deemed “love thy enemy” as unfit for broadcast.

However, there were other omissions as well. For example, when the topic of the DoJ being weaponized was brought up, only a small portion of Scott’s response was shown, while the rest was conveniently cut out. In the unedited transcript, Scott mentions the memo from the DoJ regarding parents protesting at school board meetings and the ongoing FACE ACT violation against members of the pro-life community. Clearly, there is evidence to support the claim that the DoJ is being weaponized, yet CBS chose to omit this.

Another instance of biased editing is when Scott is asked about the role of a vice president on the day of congressional certification. Sen. Scott responds by stating that he will not participate in hypothetical conversations about the past, and clearly states that the focus should be on the future. However, CBS continues to press the issue, despite Scott’s clear and unwavering stance on the matter. This exchange only serves to further highlight the network’s apparent bias.

Sen. Scott was constantly schooling CBS’s Robert Costa on various topics, only to have his responses conveniently edited or omitted in the final version that aired on TV. This type of biased editing only serves to protect the interviewer from further embarrassment, but also undermines the intelligence of the viewers by withholding important information and perspectives. It is a prime example of media manipulation and bias in today’s political climate.
