Video footage surfaced online on Tuesday, showing Democratic Mayor Matt Tuerk of Allentown, Pennsylvania, getting into a heated exchange with a Trump campaign employee near the site of a rally held by former President Donald Trump.
The rally, which took place at the PPL Center in Allentown, was only a short distance away from the Lehigh County Governing Center, where voters were seeking applications for absentee ballots, according to the Lehigh Valley News. The video captured the moment where Tuerk and the Trump campaign employee argued over the positioning of barricades that blocked traffic in the area.
The video shows the campaign employee confronting Tuerk, saying, “You said it three times, and then all of a sudden you let the traffic come through and I’m trying to put out barricades while dodging cars at the same time.” The employee also expressed concern for his safety, while Tuerk claimed he was trying to ensure the employee’s safety.
However, the Trump campaign employee was not convinced and responded, “Do you think I’m going to fucking take it off now? We got cars coming in from all four intersections while I’m in the middle of it!” He also pointed out that the city had put out a press statement about road closures for the rally.
It is no surprise that Tuerk, who previously referred to Trump as “an unwelcome guest” in a Facebook post, would try to disrupt the rally. He even invited people to attend Vice President Kamala Harris’ “closing argument” speech, showing his clear bias against the former president.
Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the “Trump-deranged Democrat Mayor of Allentown” tried to disrupt the rally’s buildout despite having proper permits and approved road closures. She also praised local law enforcement for ensuring the rally’s success.
The video also captured the Trump campaign employee confronting Tuerk, saying, “You’re out of your fucking mind! Don’t ever pull that shit on me ever again! The entire police force was confused. Go and call your chief, please.” It is clear that Tuerk was trying to pull a fast one on the Trump campaign, but it did not work.
Despite Tuerk’s attempts to disrupt the rally, it went on as planned, with Trump firing back at President Joe Biden for calling his supporters “garbage.” Trump compared these comments to Hillary Clinton’s infamous “basket of deplorables” statement, showing the Democratic Party’s disdain for those who support Trump.
According to RealClearPolitics, Trump leads Harris in a head-to-head matchup in polls of Pennsylvania voters from Oct. 2 to Oct. 29 by 0.6%. In the crucial swing state where the election can be won or lost, Trump has shown consistent support even with independent and third-party candidates in the mix.
Tuerk’s actions show the desperation of the Democratic Party and its supporters, who are willing to go to extreme lengths to disrupt and sabotage Trump’s rallies. Such behavior is unacceptable and speaks to their lack of respect for democracy and the American people who support Trump.

As Trump’s campaign official, Chris LaCivita, posted on Facebook in response to the video, “I’m going to give this kid a raise.” It is clear that the Trump campaign will not be deterred by biased and manipulative tactics from the Democrats and will continue to fight for the American people and their right to support their chosen candidate. It is time for the American people to stand against these divisive tactics and support President Trump in this crucial election.
