Ironically, now that they wish to thwart any effort associated with Donald Trump, they’ve turned to the courts as their saving grace, declaring any act that undermines these institutions as a detriment to democracy itself.
In a rather telling video compilation of Senator Warren, the first segment from the previous year sharply contrasts her remarks from just this month, showcasing a dramatic shift in her stance. This second segment was captured during her recent appearance on the Rachel Maddow Show.
According to The Hill, Warren accused the Trump administration of steering the nation precariously close to a constitutional crisis. With his sweeping executive orders and funding freezes targeting federal agencies, Warren expressed grave concerns. “We’ve got our toes right on the edge of a constitutional crisis here. But here’s the thing: It may be the case that Donald Trump is so full of confidence that he thinks he can wave his wand, and whatever he wants to happen will happen,” she elaborated on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show.” Underscoring her point, she emphasized, “My view right now is the courts are where we are hanging on to our constitutional structure. They still have the power to hold everybody else in this country in contempt if they do not follow lawfully issued court orders.”

Yet this calculated liberal logic isn’t just Warren’s domain; Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) echoed similar sentiments in 2023, advising CNN that the Biden administration should ignore a Supreme Court ruling purely because Democrats found it unpalatable. Such positions display a stubborn refusal to accept outcomes they disagree with, much like a temperamental child in the grocery store cereal aisle. For these Democrats, the real stakes are about power and control, an insatiable hunger that seemingly knows no principles but their own desires.
