Monday marked a grim day in Wisconsin as abortions resumed at Planned Parenthood due to a radical court decision. Lester Holt on NBC Nightly News noted that “Planned Parenthood resumed offering abortions in Wisconsin today after a recent court victory for abortion rights supporters”— despite the fact that there is no such thing as “abortion rights.”
Laura Jarrett, the NBC legal correspondent and daughter of Valerie Jarrett, celebrated the court’s decision, declaring that “for more than a year these doors were closed to women seeking abortions in Wisconsin. But today in Madison and Milwaukee Planned Parenthood clinics restarted their work.”
Wisconsin’s law banning abortion had been on the books since the 1800s, but the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade last year, “handing abortion rights back to state control.” However, a July ruling by a judge in Wisconsin allowed abortions to once again be carried out, much to the delight of Jarrett, who cited the one-seat majority held by pro-abortion activists on the state Supreme Court and a new justice who “campaigned on her support of abortion rights” as a deciding factor.
Jarrett also boasted of how women don’t have to drive as far to kill their babies anymore, praising how “it’s all leading to a new reality for women who before today had to travel to neighboring states Illinois and Minnesota, seeing an influx of patients over the past year.”
It is heartbreaking to witness the lengths the medical industry will go to in order to justify slaughtering innocent babies. It is especially concerning that state and federal courts, who are supposed to uphold the law and protect life, instead are complicit in this diabolical practice.
No child should ever be subjected to such a wretched fate as being snuffed out before they’ve even had the chance to see the light of day.
