In a court filing on Tuesday, the DOJ presented text messages and photos from Hunter’s iPhone around the time he purchased a gun in October 2018, showing clear signs of a drug addiction. Despite the damning evidence, the mainstream media has largely ignored the story, choosing instead to focus on the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.
According to the DOJ’s filing, Hunter Biden was heavily addicted to drugs at the time of his gun purchase, taking pictures of crack cocaine and discussing drug deals in his text messages. On October 13 and 14, just after buying the gun, he even messaged his girlfriend about meeting a drug dealer and smoking crack. The texts read like a laundry list of illegal activities, with Biden even admitting to smoking crack on the streets of Wilmington, Delaware.
But perhaps the most revealing aspect of the new evidence is Biden’s admission of his addiction. In one text, he wrote, “I’m a f***ing better man than any man you know whether I’m smoking crack or not.” In another, he told his girlfriend, “I’m sorry, I just want you to be safe. That was not safe,” illustrating the clear impact his addiction was having on his relationships.
However, despite the gravity of the situation and the potential threat to national security, the mainstream media has remained largely silent. Instead, they continue to push their own narrative, focusing on baseless claims of Trump-Russia collusion and ignoring the real issues at hand. This blatant disregard for the truth and refusal to hold Hunter Biden accountable is a disservice to the American people and a reflection of the media’s biased agenda.
In addition to revealing Hunter Biden’s drug addiction, the DOJ filing also sheds light on his relationship with his then girlfriend, Hallie Biden. Through their text messages, it is clear that she was not only aware of his illegal activities, but also worried for his safety. In one text, she wrote, “I’m sorry, I just want you to be safe. That was not safe.” But despite her concerns, Hunter continued on his destructive path, even admitting in one text that he would only get sober “when [he] want[s] to get f***ing sober.”

The fact that Hunter Biden was able to purchase a firearm despite his drug addiction also raises questions about the legality of the transaction. According to federal law, anyone who is an “unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance” is prohibited from buying a gun. Therefore, it is alarming that Biden was able to purchase the gun in the first place, and even more concerning that he was able to get away with his crime for so long.
As the evidence mounts against Hunter Biden, the silence from the media and their refusal to hold him accountable is concerning. If a member of the Trump family had been caught in a similar situation, it would be front page news. Yet, because Hunter Biden is the son of President Joe Biden, the media has chosen to look the other way. This is a betrayal of their duty as journalists and a disservice to the American people.
The new evidence released by the DOJ paints a clear picture of Hunter Biden’s addiction and illegal activities. But the media’s refusal to cover the story and hold him accountable is a troubling display of their biased agenda. As this case moves forward, it is imperative that the truth be revealed and justice be served, regardless of political affiliations. The American people deserve to know the whole truth, and it is the duty of the media to report it.
