Ella Langley Abruptly Cancels Tulsa Concert Over “Serious Security Threat”
Country music singer Ella Langley abruptly canceled her scheduled concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Friday evening over what she described as a “serious security threat.” The show was set to take place at the BOK Center.
Langley said the threat involved the safety of her fans, venue staff, and her team. She said the decision followed guidance from local authorities, venue officials, and her security team.
In a statement, Langley wrote: “Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team, the incredibly difficult decision was made to cancel tonight’s show. This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team.”
The singer did not disclose the nature of the threat. No additional details about the security concern were provided in the announcement.
Langley also acknowledged the time, travel, money, and planning fans had put into attending the concert.
“I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am. This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”
The BOK Center also said the safety of everyone connected to the event had to come first and apologized to fans who had planned to attend.
“The safety and well-being of everyone involved is our absolute priority, and after careful consideration, we have determined that the show cannot proceed. We understand the disappointment this news brings and apologize to fans who planned to attend. The safety of fans is our foremost concern and will always come first,” the venue said.
