Former CIA Agent Breaks Down Why He Refused To Sign Off On Hunter’s Laptop Letter

The Hunter Biden laptop story is one of the most talked about political scandals of 2020 and it’s no surprise that it caused a frenzy of political drama shortly before the election. The laptop so obviously contained incriminating evidence against then-candidate Joe Biden, including details about his personal life and business dealings.

Former CIA official Dan Hoffman, now retired, recently opened up about why he did not sign the letter from 51 former intelligence officials claiming the laptop story could be part of a Russian disinformation operation. He said that, although Vladimir Putin is well-known for cloak-and-dagger espionage operations, there was no evidence to back the claims of Russian involvement.

Ultimately, the letter was used by then-candidate Biden to cast doubt on the laptop story during one of his debates with then-President Donald Trump. However, over the past two years, many of the laptop’s contents have been analyzed and shown to be authentic. It’s clear that the Biden camp has been trying to downplay the significance of the laptop story since it first broke, and the letter from the former intelligence officials was just another attempt to do that.

Hoffman also revealed that he received an email from former acting CIA Director Michael Morell asking for signatures on the letter. He said the email did not invite any further discussion or debate and that the letter was being passed around for signatures, not edits. It’s understandable why Hoffman refused to sign his name to something that was not backed by evidence.

More recently, Hunter Biden’s lawyers began to send letters to state and federal officials demanding investigations into individuals involved in disseminating the contents of the laptop. His attorney, Abbe Lowell, insists the letters do not “confirm” the laptop was his client’s device, but it’s been made pretty clear thanks to the disgusting videos, photos, and messages on the laptop that it belongs to Biden.

Hunter Biden is under investigation by federal prosecutors looking into potential crimes related to his tax affairs, foreign business dealings, and a gun purchase. The president’s son has said he expects to be cleared of wrongdoing.

It’s clear that the Biden camp has been doing everything it can to downplay the significance of the laptop story, but the truth is the laptop contains incriminating evidence against then-candidate Biden and it’s clear that many of the signees of the letter from the former intelligence officials did not have all the facts before signing.

Ultimately, it should have been up to the public to decide whether they believe the laptop story is true or not. Voters were not given that chance thanks to a political bias media and big tech colluding with Democrats to cover for the Biden crime family.

It’s a shame that the American public was not able to make an informed decision about the election, and it’s important to note that Dan Hoffman made the right decision in not attaching his signature to something that was not backed by evidence. The future of the country should not be decided by hearsay and unsubstantiated claims.
