It looks like California’s governor is more than a little scared of Joe Biden, the ‘godfather’ of the Biden crime family. Newsom just vowed to not run against Biden in 2024. It’s not at all clear that Gavin Newsom’s declaration is entirely a statement of loyalty or just fear:
“Gov. Gavin Newsom has won three elections in five years in America’s largest state, is apoplectic about his party’s messaging defects and follows Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the right-wing media ecosystem with a zeal that would put some opposition researchers to shame.
But Newsom wants the word to go forth: He’s not going to challenge President Biden for the Democratic nomination in 2024.
“I’ve told everyone in the White House, from the chief of staff to the first lady,” he recounted to me as we sat on the top floor of California’s now-ceremonial governor’s mansion on election night.
His message to Ron Klain and Jill Biden over the summer — when he visited Washington amid growing speculation, and considerable West Wing irritation, that he was plotting a primary challenge — was to count him as a firm supporter of Biden’s reelection: “I’m all in, count me in,” he said he told them.”
This is great news for the GOP but most defiantly spells disaster for Democrats in the next presidential election. Polling shows that Biden doesn’t have the support needed to make another run. Voters and other Democrats have vowed to not support a second Biden term and the president has the lowest approval rating in decades.
At this point, Biden is all that the Democrats have moving toward 2024 and that should scare them. If Joe Biden continues to scare off all of his competition, the presidential race should be a breeze for the GOP’s candidate. Can you even imagine Biden trying to withstand a debate in two years? The same guy who gets lost on stage and forgets his own name?
