It’s absolutely bananas that a major news network doesn’t understand they’re supposed to support democracy! This is what Mara Gay, a member of the New York Times editorial board, said recently on MSNBC. She was reacting to the news that Dominion Voting Systems had filed a lawsuit against Fox Corp. and its networks for allegedly pushing false claims that the company’s voting machines were rigged in the 2020 presidential election.
It’s really sad to think about how weaponized the media has become on both sides. There is such a politically motivated divide in reporting that it’s hard to trust any of them. It’s almost like they’ve forgotten their mission as journalists — which is to support democracy.
Just look at the liberal news media. They’re so quick to criticize Fox News for their lack of journalistic integrity, but they’re equally guilty of biased reporting. They’re all just as bad — if not worse — when it comes to pushing their own political agendas.
No matter where you stand on the 2020 election results you have to admit those were some unprecedented conditions for voters with half the nation using mail-in ballots for the first time. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to question the outcome. In fact, it might be one of the most American things people typically do under the best of circumstances.
It’s ironic that so many of these liberal networks have no qualms about pushing their own propaganda while mocking other networks for what? going pretty much the same thing if not worse!
Their reporting following Clinton’s big loss in 2016 damn near tore the nation apart. It’s like they’ve entirely forgotten their mission as journalists — which is to report the truth.
The truth is, these networks are all guilty of biased reporting. And it’s ridiculous that they’d have the audacity to criticize Fox News for the same thing. It’s a double standard of the highest order, and it’s absolutely absurd.
If these news networks want to be taken seriously, they need to start reporting the truth and stop pushing their own agendas. We’re all here for the truth, not for biased reporting and propaganda.
