Republican Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr declared that 61 people linked to the anti-cop activist organization “Stop Cop City” face charges of racketeering and domestic terrorism, stated in a press release. The charges stem from crimes and protests in support of their movement since the death of George Floyd, which involve 255 incidents including “vandalizing of private property, arson, destruction of government property, attacks on utility workers, attacks on law enforcement, attacks on private citizens, and gun violence”.
You know, the crap the media calls “peaceful protests”?
“If you come to our state and shoot a police officer, throw Molotov cocktails at law enforcement, set fire to police vehicles, damage construction equipment, vandalize private homes and businesses, and terrorize their occupants, you can and will be held accountable,” said Carr in the press release.
All defendants indicted by Carr have been charged with violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations act, which outlaws any attempts to hold power over others through means of coercion or intimidation. Thirteen of the defendants are from Georgia, one from France, and one from Canada.
In response to the indictment, the Cop City Vote Coalition released a statement condemning Carr’s power and decrying his efforts as “threats” that will not impede their “commitment to standing up for our future, our community, and our city”.
BREAKING: For the first time, a network of violent #Antifa-linked suspects have been indicted on RICO charges plus terrorism, money laundering & arson. 61 “Stop Cop City” suspects, many already charged with domestic terrorism previously, have been indicted by the same Fulton… pic.twitter.com/5bRLvKtEbb

Despite this strong opposition, Carr’s indictment is a reminder that criminal acts will not be accepted and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. His message of inviolable justice sends a powerful signal to all protesters that extreme acts of violence and vandalism can cost them their legal rights.
I’m not even remotely surprised that the same people protesting the police training facility happen to be crooks. Who else but a criminal would want to see the police defunded? It just goes to show, that the truth will always come out in the end.
