Liberal talk show host Bill Maher’s appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show” proved to be quite contentious as the two media personalities sparred over various issues, with Maher’s liberal views being challenged by Kelly. One of the first topics they clashed on was the issue of election results, with Maher claiming that former President Trump did not accept the 2020 election results, while Kelly reminded him that Hillary Clinton was the “original election denier” after her loss in 2016.
Maher tried to argue that Clinton did concede the election, but Kelly pointed out that she spent the next four years claiming Trump was an illegitimate president. Maher’s insistence that she did not deny the results was met with Kelly’s rebuttal of Clinton repeatedly saying those exact words, exposing Maher’s biased view of the situation.
Another point of contention between the two was the events of January 6, 2021, when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building. Maher claimed that Trump would have shown up at the White House even if he lost the election, but Kelly dismissed this as baseless speculation.
When Maher brought up the attack on the Capitol, Kelly boldly challenged his statement by saying “they didn’t do that.” When pressed for evidence, Maher cited the death of police officers, but Kelly corrected him, stating that only one person, Ashli Babbit, died that day while the other officers committed suicide afterward. The autopsy report also revealed that Babbit’s cause of death was not related to the protesters, further debunking Maher’s claim. This exchange once again highlighted Maher’s misleading rhetoric and Kelly’s commitment to factual accuracy.
During his appearance on “Gutfeld” on Monday, Maher mocked the host for not knowing that Trump had sued him over a comment comparing him to an orangutan.
Gutfeld admitted he didn’t know, to which Maher condescendingly asked, “You’re in the news?” This interaction showed how Maher and other liberals often try to discredit and belittle those who challenge their narratives, even when it comes to trivial matters like a decade-old lawsuit. It also highlighted how people like Maher try to make irrelevant information seem important in an attempt to deflect attention from the real issues at hand.
The most concerning aspect of Maher’s statements was his false description of the events on January 6. He claimed that cops were killed, implying that the protesters were responsible for the deaths, when in reality, only one protester died and it was later determined to be from natural causes.
The lack of accountability for spreading such blatant lies is alarming, as it allows for misinformation to spread and be accepted as the truth. This is a prime example of the dangerous impact of partisan messaging, which has distorted public understanding of the Capitol incursion and allowed for false narratives to take hold.
Kelly’s unwavering commitment to factual accuracy serves as an example of how we must directly confront and refute disinformation that has taken root through the Democrats’ echo chamber.
Megyn Kelly calls out Bill Maher’s lie that cops died on January 6th:
BM: “Like they didn’t show up to the Capitol and kill cops.”
MK: “They didn’t do that. They didn’t kill cops.”
BM: “They of course did. They died of natural causes that day!?”

Her calm yet firm rebuttals, supported by verified information, demonstrated the proper approach to counter the rhetoric and lies being propagated by liberals like Maher. It’s important to note that Maher’s smug insistence on his own version of events, even when presented with facts, showcases the dangerous overconfidence in his own knowledge and the biased lens through which he views complex political issues.
Liberals like Maher have been so entrenched in their own partisan narratives that they are unable to see or acknowledge the truth. Every now and then we can all find something to agree on and Maher has used his distant for Biden to build a following in the conservative community, but at the end of it all- he is what he is.

They continue to spread misinformation and false narratives, trying to skew public perception and silence those who challenge them. In order to combat this, we must continue to call out these falsehoods and hold those who spread them accountable. Only then can we have honest discussions and work towards finding solutions to the issues facing our country, rather than perpetuating a divisive and dishonest narrative.
