MSNBC host Tiffany Cross seems to be filling Joy Reid’s shoes nicely with her unjustified outrage over makebelieve racial issues. On her show Monday, the liberal showcased a tiny panel to ‘discuss’ the voting law debate. However, it was clear that from the begining, Cross couldn’t handle the truth.
One of her guests was Republican VP of the Texas Policey Foundation, Chuck DeVore. DeVore was prepaired for Cross, which upset the liberal who lost it on air. At one point she told DeVore not to ‘spit in her face’ and call it ‘rain’.
Why? Because DeVore simply answered her question.
Cross tried to spin a push to secure mail-in voting by requiring identification as ‘voter suppression’. A popular narrative in the media right now who have been compairing the idea of secured mail-in voting to ‘Jim Crow’ laws.
Cross asked Devore to name cases of actual voter frauds. That would be a mistake:
DeVore began, “Well I’m glad you brought up voter ID, photo ID because that is required in the state of Texas, although if you don’t, there’s a reasonable-impediment document that you can sign.”
He added, “But what we are talking about here is mail-in ballots. And with mail-in ballots, there is no identification. And you talk about fraud. We had three elections invalidated because of mail-in voter fraud in Texas in 2018, including in the city of Mission, where they had to do the election all over again.”
It’s obvious to viewers that Cross isn’t listening but DeVore continues:
“[As] for massive mail-in ballot fraud in the third biggest city in New Jersey last year,” DeVore said.
DeVore then broke it down for the deliberatly oblivious Cross, “what we’re talking about is a unilateral expansion of vote-by-mail that doesn’t have any reasonable safeguards, and that is why you see something on the order of 79% of Americans approving of needing voter ID to be able to cast a ballot. And that, by the way, includes close to 70% of black Americans, and a vast majority of people of color, because they understand that it is so important to have free and fair”
DeVore then began to explain new poll information but Cross shut him down, “Tell me more about Texas,” she snarked.
What? She clearly didn’t hear a single word DeVore had just said. The Republican snapped back:
“I cited three jurisdictions in Texas who had elections invalidated just three years ago. So if there’s no voter fraud, why was the election in Mission, Texas, down in the Rio Grande valley, thrown out? Why did that happen? Because of mail-in ballot fraud,” DeVore explaimed.
Cross comepletely dismisses DeVore and then insults the Republican by saying he spat in her face? With what? The Truth?
“It’s a pet peeve when people spit in my face and try to convince me it’s raining. This is voter suppression, by no other name. That’s very obvious to us.”
I wan’t to know who watched this dumpster fire and thought her performance was anything but unprofessional? Cross invites an oposing opinion on and while I would never expect her to agree with him, she completely ignored him. She then had the nerve to pretend to be insulted?
Like I said… She’s filling Joy Reid’s shoes, nicely…
