In today’s world of media, we’ve seen countless examples of liberal media, Democrats, and even Jimmy Kimmel trying to push their agenda and control the narrative. On Tuesday, Kimmel took it to a whole new level when he compared Fox News’ Tucker Carlson to “diarrhea” while blaming him and others for anti-Asian violence in America.
Kimmel has become notorious for pushing his own narrative, and his Tuesday show was no exception. He began by dismissing news from the Department of Energy that supports lab leak theorists.
What Kimmel failed to mention was the fact that he once dismissed the possibility that the COVID-19 pandemic began as a lab leak.
Kimmel then shifted to blaming Tucker Carlson and others for anti-Asian violence in America. He played a clip of Carlson’s Monday show that featured a clip of the April 30, 2020, edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Carlson naturally criticized Kimmel for his dismissiveness, “Yeah. Imagine if you’re a comedian and all of a sudden your cue card has all kinds of talking points from politicians and foreign governments on it. Don’t read it. You degrade yourself and become complicit in the greatest crime in history.”
Rather than admit he was wrong and others were possibly correct, Kimmel attacked Carlson for his views on Russia, “Isn’t that beautiful. I mean, the idea that this man would accuse– that I would be accused of reading talking points from foreign governments. If it weren’t so brazen, it would almost be funny coming from this loathsome, un-American, Moscow mule.”
It’s clear that Kimmel is trying to distract from the fact that he was wrong and others were possibly right. He’s attacking Carlson to deflect from his own mistakes. Not only that, but he’s using the issue of anti-Asian violence to stir up emotions. This is a serious issue, and Kimmel should not be using it as an opportunity to push his own agenda.
Bias and the push for a specific narrative are becoming more and more prevalent in today’s media. Unfortunately, too many people are falling for it, and it’s up to us to make sure we are not being misled.
Kimmel’s attempt to deflect from his own mistakes is just shameful.
