Katie Porter took the stage at the California Democratic Convention and waved a big sign that read “F-ck Trump.”
She didn’t stop there. “I’m running for governor,” Porter said, continuing her vulgarities, “because I’m willing and ready to get sh-t done.”
She raised the heat. “Together, we’re going to kick Trump’s ass in November,” Porter added. “I’ll stand up to Trump and his cronies, just like I did in Congress. With or without my whiteboard. But this election is about more than defeating Trump.”
The moment was captured on video and shared online. Critics say it was a crude stunt — sloppy and unnecessary for someone running for governor of California. Supporters call it plain-spoken and bold. Either way, it grabbed attention.
