It’s not unusual for political campaigns to hire companies to do canvassing and other services, and the Democrats recently paid a company called La Machine Consulting half a million dollars for work in the 2022 midterms. The catch is that La Machine Consulting is owned by Antonia Valdovinos, a “dreamer” who’s not a citizen and isn’t in the country legally. Even though he was granted a deferment under DACA, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) frowns on these kinds of arrangements.
Chuck Ross reports at the Free Beacon clarified that Mr. Valdovinos proudly portrays himself as a “dreamer” and not in the United States legally:
“Democrats paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to a consulting firm operated by an illegal alien, which experts say may have violated campaign finance laws.
Antonio Valdovinos, the owner of the Arizona-based La Machine Consulting, has made his status as a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient central to his personal narrative. He boasts of his “undocumented” status on his firm’s website and produced an off-Broadway musical,”¡Americano!,” about life as a “Dreamer.” Valdovinos’s immigration status could cause a problem for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which paid his firm, La Machine Consulting, $500,000 to canvas in three battleground states ahead of the 2022 midterm election.”
The FEC needs to investigate Democrats’ campaign funds usage NOW if they’re ever going to be taken seriously again!
If this were a small business hiring an undocumented immigrant to work for them they would be in major trouble with the US government. How is it that we can’t seem to hold our politicians to the same standards?
Being offered temporary deferment under DACA is not the same as becoming a legal citizen and Democrats know it. That’s part of the reason they’re in such a huge rush to legalize undocumented immigrants. They’re after that cheap labor and temporary boost in votes.
