Tucker Carlson and famous rapper Ice Cube recently toured South Central Los Angeles, three year in the aftermath of the violent George Floyd riots. In the area where Ice Cube was born and raised, he expressed his criticism of politicians for their lack of action in improving the city.
“Politicians only really pay attention to the people who give them money. Everybody else is kind of extra,” said Ice Cube, reflecting on how little change the city had seen since former President Barack Obama came into office. The riots that followed George Floyd’s death merely worsened the city’s condition.
The riots of 2020 caused major destruction, setting cars aflame, and covering buildings with graffiti. Liberal lawmakers have done very little to improve the area, despite their claims of “social justice.” In fact, as commissioner of the National Basketball Association, Adam Silver, was continually criticized by Carlson for his “cringing neoliberalism” while providing no substantive actions.
The impacts of liberal policies are felt far beyond Los Angeles. In California’s capital, Sacramento, homelessness has increased by a staggering 70%, to its highest-ever levels – bringing about five times as many tent cities. Cities filled with tents and vehicles, not suitable for any form of adequate living, are now becoming commonplace in the capital.
The consequences of liberal policies have been devastating. From Los Angeles to Sacramento, these policies have led to much crime, violence, widespread homelessness, and destruction. Ice Cube was right; liberal politicians are not doing enough, and the millions of Americans who have to suffer the consequences are “kind of extra.” In order to get results, there must be an end to these “soft on crime” policies.

I think that California should serve as an example to the rest of the nation on how Democrat’s ‘free everything’ garbage doesn’t actually mean free. Taxes are so high in California to pay for those failed programs, people can’t afford to live there. Their “soft on crime” BS has done nothing but spawn lawlessness while churning criminals back onto the streets.
The mental health crisis in California is nother that should be ignored. For a state that’s pushing to offer free college and healthcare, they’ve certainly proven that their plans do not work.
