It’s no secret that the Democrats are playing games with the House of Representatives. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is doing his part to hold them accountable for their actions by promising to remove Adam Schiff (D., Calif.) and Eric Swalwell (D., Calif.) from the House Intelligence Committee due to their involvement with the now-debunked Steele dossier.
Now, McCarthy is vowing to remove Representative Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) from the House Foreign Affairs Committee over her past anti-Semitic remarks and other controversial comments about Israel.
But it seems that McCarthy’s plan is running into some roadblocks.
Representative Ken Buck (R., Colo.) has publicly stated that he is opposed to Omar’s removal from the committee, citing a tit-for-tat mentality from the Democrats after they stripped Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene (R., Ga.) and Paul Gosar (R., Ariz.) of their committee assignments in 2021. At least two other Republicans — Representatives Victoria Spartz (R., Ind.) and Nancy Mace (R., S.C.) — have expressed opposition to Omar’s removal, and there are a few Democrats who remain undecided, such as Representatives Josh Gottheimer (D., N.Y.), Jared Moskowitz (D., Fla.) and Lois Frankel (D., Fla.).
Adding to the drama is the fact that freshman congressman George Santos (R., N.Y.), who was caught lying about his resume and background after his election, has rebuffed calls to resign and has been given two committee assignments — which is clearly not a good look for the party.

The bottom line is that Schiff and Swalwell deserved to be removed due to their involvement with the bogus Steele dossier and spies— Omar is no different.
She is a proud anti-American who regularly uses anti-Semitic hate speech and rhetoric while pushing her own agendas. If the Democrats don’t have a problem with Louis Farrakhan on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, then why should they have a problem with Omar?
It’s time for the Republicans in the House to make a stand and hold Omar accountable for her words and actions.
