Liberal Teacher Leah Kinyon thought she was untouchable. She was known to go on Liberal rants and berate any student that didn’t agree with her rhetoric. But she didn’t teach philosophy or political science, she was a chemistry teacher. She would just get so wound up that she had to rant to her own students. A student recorded her and reported her biased and offensive language, and surprising the school responded correctly.
“We will just keep getting variants over and over until people get vaccinated,” she claimed. “It’s never going to end. It could end in five seconds, if people would get vaccinated” Kinyon then went on to say, “I hate Donald Trump, I’m going to say it. I don’t care what y’all think. Trump suuucks. He’s a sexual predator. He’s a literal moron.”
“This is a chemistry class,” one student called out.
“Go tattle on me to the freaking admin, they don’t give a crap, the teacher replied thinking she was untouchable.
“Turn off the Fox News,” Kinyon told the students.
“You know what, this is my classroom and if you guys are going to put me at risk you’re going to hear about it because I have to be here,” she said. “I don’t have to be happy about the fact that there are kids coming in here with variants that possibly get me or my family sick. That’s rude, and I am not going to pretend like it’s not.
“Most of y’all parents are dumber than you, I’m going to say that out loud,” she claimed. “My parents are freaking dumb and the minute I figured that out the world opens up,” she expounded, trying to convince a room full of undeveloped brains that they are smarter than their elders. “You don’t have to do everything your parents say and you don’t have to believe everything your parents believe, because most likely, you’re smarter than them,” she continued, while being filmed by one of her students, whose parents were smart enough to provide him with a smartphone that is capable of catching government employees behaving badly.
“You can believe what you want to believe but keep it quiet in here because I’m most likely going to make fun of you,” Kinyon said when referencing alternative ideologies to hers.
“If you don’t believe in climate change, get the hell out,” she snarked. “That’s pathetic that you think that. You’re the problem with the world,” she said ridiculing a student who questioned her. “If you’re a homophobe, get out. Because I’m the GSA faculty advisor,” she mocked while jangling her teacher’s badge in front of the class. “I love gay people. All LGBTQAI+ motherf*ckers,” she said clearly forgetting where she was.
“If you don’t like it, get out,” she warned. “If I hear you say a damn word against any of them I will open a can and I will make your life a living hell. And they know it,” she said proudly. “If you say shiz to any LGBTQ kid in this school I will hear about it and you will be in trouble,” she concluded.

“The Alpine School District released a statement Tuesday night, saying, “We became aware late this afternoon of an incident that took place today in one of our high school classrooms. An immediate investigation ensued. The employee has been put on administrative leave pending a thorough investigation. This behavior is inappropriate, not reflective of the professional conduct and decorum we expect of our teachers, and will not be tolerated.”
“A statement released Wednesday afternoon by the Alpine School District says the investigation has concluded:
“Alpine School District has concluded our investigation of the incident that occurred on August 17, 2021, at Lehi High School. Although the details of a personnel investigation are confidential, the teacher involved is no longer an employee of Alpine School District.”
“The Utah Republican Party released a statement as well, saying, “The video that emerged out of the Alpine school district today was nothing short of appalling. This was absolutely distasteful and does not represent Utah. This type of rhetoric should not be tolerated in the slightest. We are grateful that the Alpine school district took quick action. We encourage parents to have open conversations with their children about what is being taught in schools.”
She was teaching kids this toxic rhetoric for who knows how long, and people wonder why homeschooling is becoming so popular these days. There is no telling how many kids are being exposed to similar rhetoric across the nation. But at least she is not teaching for now.
