Teacher Fired for Reenacting George Floyd’s Death in Classroom [Video]

The liberal agenda continues to rear its head in schools across America, as Woodbury High School in Minnesota has banned an off-duty police officer and substitute teacher for alleged inappropriate behavior. In a letter shared by MPR News, the school accused Steve Williams of making a student reenact the death of George Floyd and engaging in other questionable activities.

The incidents reportedly occurred during four English classes on Monday, with students claiming that Williams made sexist and racist comments, shared stories about his gun collection, and downplayed the impact of police brutality. The school immediately responded by removing Williams from the classroom and banning him from all district property. Superintendent Julie Nielsen called the incidents “very disturbing” and said she had never witnessed such poor judgement in her 30 years as an educator.

According to the City of Prescott Police Department, where Williams worked as a patrol officer, the alleged actions are “very disturbing, reprehensible, and inexcusable” if proven true. They have placed Williams on administrative leave and are cooperating with the Woodbury Police Department on their independent investigation. Meanwhile, Teachers on Call, the third-party vendor responsible for providing substitute teachers to the district, has terminated Williams.

The community is reeling from these allegations, as Woodbury Middle School principal Dr. Alim Chandani shared in a letter to parents that the district is committed to creating “a safe and inclusive environment for all students.” The district also closed all schools for two days to provide time for staff and students to process the events and come together as a community. However, this incident has raised questions about the vetting process for substitute teachers and the potential for their personal biases to affect students in the classroom.
